I don’t like b-days anymore as they just remind me that I am getting older. But you get older every single day, though, every single second, every single minute, every single hour. And at least on your birthday, you’re *rewarded* for this unmiraculous feat.

I miss my friends up in Orange County, I really do. It’s tough moving someplace in the middle. And I am in the middle, I’m not 21 anymore and I’m not married with kids, which is the situation almost everyone in my office is in. I’m in the middle of this demographic wasteland. My friends that did live here moved away and all my other friends who I enjoyed hanging out with live 70 miles north. This makes me want to move to back to Orange County but it’s more fun here, better town, great job and beautiful women.

Somebody once said that “youth is wasted on the young” but I prefer to reflect that you come into and go out of this world in a diaper, in most cases.

It’s my b-day on Thursday, I turn 33.
