"Intuit is the Microsoft of financial software. It’s used the world over but everyone wishes there was something better."

This is true, but we are improving them and we have a bunch of people now using Macs as there primary computers here.

For those of you that don't know, I work at Intuit and do web marketing for Turbotax.com

I just took posession of a new MacBook Pro (2.4 GHz). Quite an upgrade over my PowerBook G4 800 MHz which sits dormant, awaiting a new purpose. Interestingly enough my PowerBook ran 10.4.9 quite well but certain apps were bogging it down.

One thing you'll find is Intuit's awful produt offerings for Mac. Quicken and QuickBooks are subsets at best and laiden with issues if you believe the 'net. I didn't even bother trying them - I run Parallels instead.

Intuit is the Microsoft of financial software. It's used the world over but everyone wishes there was something better.

Tip: forget what you know about Windows during your Mac transition. Be open to new ways of doing things, even abandoning your former ways. I'll never go back to Windows as a primary OS - in the foreseeable future anyway.
